Alai Minar

This incomplete Tower was commenced by the ambitious Sultan Alaud-Din Khalji (AD 1296-1316). He had great intentions to build it double the dimensions of the Qutb Minar but unfortunately he died while the construction was in progress. 

He did not complete even the first story and none of his successors completed it.
