Saturday 1st March
After a pretty routine week we are staying at Namaste
Bungalows again for the weekend. We are
joined by Charlotte and Nicky who also needed a wee break from the volunteer
house. It is lovely at Namaste, its
higher up in the island which makes the temperature cooler, much quieter and
very relaxing. Charlotte is from Manchester, UK and Nicky is from Alberta,
Canada.
We have now been away just over 6 weeks, though the time has
flown, we have learnt a lot about traveling. Don’t do everything at 100 miles
an hour, there is a reason the locals close up shop in the middle of the day
for a snooze. What you think you are getting, in regards to most things is not
as we know it in NZ, which has been rather humorous at times, well you just
have to laugh. Always negotiate a taxi price and just because the driver says
he knows where you want to go he doesn’t always. When there is a western food
on the menu, it isn’t. I have yet to fine a decent coffee, so now I have a coke
(can only). However we have had great experiences so far, and we have met (and
are still meeting) amazing people who have helped make our trip what it is.
Sunday 2nd March
Swimming at Crystal Bay, reading and snoozing at
the Bungalows then back to the accommodation about 4pm.
Sounds great and the new pics look amazing!xxxJulia
